I too thought immediately about how I could apply Scrum to my home. I am going to use your suggestion of the cost-breakdown stacks. I am also going to try writing down user-stories such as "as a person cleaning the house, I can retrieve and put away my cleaning supplies easily, so that I'll be more inclined to clean regularly."
